Truth or Tale Consulting is led by principal investigator Kris Johnson

A career investigator with nearly three decades of experience in law enforcement, insurance fraud, and corporate investigations. He has dedicated his career to answering two fundamental questions in every case: (1) Is this person truthful or not? (2) Is this person guilty or not?

Experience includes:

13 years conducting criminal investigations as a detective in the Metro Major Case Unit and Criminal Interdiction Unit, master deputy sheriff, and police officer.
15 years conducting corporate investigations of insurance fraud, employee misconduct, financial crimes, and ethics violations.
Conducted more than 12,000 investigative interviews and interrogations.
Analyzed over 1,000 statements of suspects, witnesses, and victims.
Extensive experience evaluating credibility and veracity.

Credentials include:

Trained in investigative statement analysis by the FBI.
Trained in advanced scientific content analysis by the Laboratory for Scientific Interrogation.
Trained in statement analysis by Advanced Interviewing Concepts (Mark McClish).
Trained in interview and interrogation methods including The Wicklander-Zulawski Method, The Reid Technique, and The PEACE Model.
